Although there are many side effects of sucking a thumb that children risk, a pacifier isn’t the long-term solution. Not only can it be just as effective, but it also has many of the same risks. The best way to end a thumb sucking habit is to be patient and work with your child so they can overcome this and learn healthier ways to cope.
