Please note: Many children will switch from one thumb, to the other, after putting on the TGuard®. For that reason, we recommend purchasing two treatment kits, one for each hand.
Sizing Chart
Sizing can be a tricky matter and it’s very important to get the right size in order to have a successful treatment. We recommend the table below for most children.

Typically, a child under 4 will choose small, a child ages 5-6 medium, and a child above 7 will choose large. However, the weight chart is the most accurate way to gauge sizing, and we recommend purchasing based off a child’s weight, rather than their age.
If your child is very close to the cut-off between sizes, then go with a smaller size if the child is taller than the average for their age group, or a larger size if the child is shorter than average for their age group. The reason for that is because the only important parameter in sizing is the relation between the thumb width and the diameter of the tube. Taller children tend to have more narrow thumbs and fingers, so they should go down a size, while shorter children tend to have wider thumbs, meaning they should go up a size. The length of the thumb plays no role in sizing.
Please know that children under 3 are more likely to switch from thumb to finger sucking, or vice-versa, due to their habit not being fully matured. If you see that the child switches from thumb to finger sucking, please contact us.

After two weeks of continuous use our daughter’s habit was broken and she hasn’t sucked her thumbs in 6 months! Highly recommend.

Our little almost 3-year-old responded to this incredibly well! We prepared her for it by watching the intro video with her, and explaining how sucking her thumb wasn’t good for her anymore, so this was her, “big girl glove” to help her be done.
She was so on board, and even though she did get out of it a couple of times when we adjusted too loosely, altogether she had great buy-in. Cut out thumb sucking for our 4 year who was hooked on the thumb. We tried everything and this is the only thing that worked, start here instead of messing with other products.
unfortunately this didn’t work for us. I was so hopeful. my 3 year old learned to bite the tip, stretch it up, and pull his thumb out underneath. we tightened the band and the side closure until he got marks, but he still was able to do it. Of we pulled either any tighter it would inhibit circulation. It seems like a great idea, I so wish it would have worked!

If a readjustment doesn’t do the trick, we have accessories we can provide which prevent the thumb from bending inside of the tube. This will likely solve this issue.

Works like a charm!
We tried socks and tape etc prior but nothing had work and my son was very sad to stop sucking his thumb 😢. T guards made it a fun challenge for him, he earned stickers on the constellation and loved picking the colored bands each night. Earning even if they suck only one thumb buy two t guards one for each hand!! We loved our t guards!
