Please note: Many children will switch from one thumb, to the other, after putting on the TGuard®. For that reason, we recommend purchasing two treatment kits, one for each hand.
Sizing Chart
Sizing can be a tricky matter and it’s very important to get the right size in order to have a successful treatment. We recommend the table below for most children.

Typically, a child under 4 will choose small, a child ages 5-6 medium, and a child above 7 will choose large. However, the weight chart is the most accurate way to gauge sizing, and we recommend purchasing based off a child’s weight, rather than their age.
If your child is very close to the cut-off between sizes, then go with a smaller size if the child is taller than the average for their age group, or a larger size if the child is shorter than average for their age group. The reason for that is because the only important parameter in sizing is the relation between the thumb width and the diameter of the tube. Taller children tend to have more narrow thumbs and fingers, so they should go down a size, while shorter children tend to have wider thumbs, meaning they should go up a size. The length of the thumb plays no role in sizing.
Please know that children under 3 are more likely to switch from thumb to finger sucking, or vice-versa, due to their habit not being fully matured. If you see that the child switches from thumb to finger sucking, please contact us.

Cut out thumb sucking for our 4 year who was hooked on the thumb. We tried everything and this is the only thing that worked, start here instead of messing with other products.
unfortunately this didn’t work for us. I was so hopeful. my 3 year old learned to bite the tip, stretch it up, and pull his thumb out underneath. we tightened the band and the side closure until he got marks, but he still was able to do it. Of we pulled either any tighter it would inhibit circulation. It seems like a great idea, I so wish it would have worked!

If a readjustment doesn’t do the trick, we have accessories we can provide which prevent the thumb from bending inside of the tube. This will likely solve this issue.

Works like a charm!
We tried socks and tape etc prior but nothing had work and my son was very sad to stop sucking his thumb 😢. T guards made it a fun challenge for him, he earned stickers on the constellation and loved picking the colored bands each night. Earning even if they suck only one thumb buy two t guards one for each hand!! We loved our t guards!
We are so thankful for this product. My daughter’s thumb sucking habit was increasing and it was our goal to help her stop by the time she turned 3 years old. My 2.5 year old son would always suck on his thumb right before he would go to bed and while asleep all night. I used the thumb guard for 3 weeks straight. We had our nightly routine and after bath time, we would put the thumb guard on. The different color bands made it fun and he would choose which color band he wanted to wear each night. He didn’t give me a hard time at all during this process. I was going to have him wear the thumb guard for a whole month but he did so well for the 3 weeks and stopped sucking his thumb when I finally took it off for good. I am very pleased and hope it’s a success for all the parents out there struggling with a thumb sucking child. It’s definitely worth the try!
This worked very well…we did go 6 weeks instead of the normal 30 days. My 4 year old was very proud of himself, and he is still going strong. Although the first few days he grumpy; he improved after pictures and further explanations about the futue of his teeth. He also enjoyed choosing a color to put in the device.
The t-guard is amazing. My 3 year old daughter was sucking her thumb almost all day/night. It was the only way she would sleep. This reduced her thumb sucking by 75% in 3 days and 90% by 10 days. I thought she would be very upset, but she whined a little the first day and completely accepted it after. She got used to doing all her regular activities with it. Now, she no longer sucks or thumb AT ALL. I keep it on for nighttime because she doesn’t mind and I don’t want her to start again. I recommend this 10/10. It is amazing.
