Description
New and recommended! We are glad to present the newest version of our highly successful thumb sucking treatment kit: AeroThumb®! Based on the same principles as our TGuard® Classic, AeroThumb’s improved design offers an ergonomic fit that will fit on your child’s hand like a glove, helping you to stop the thumb sucking habit in a comfortable and effective way. Ventilating holes ensure cool air flow, which allows the device to be worn without any worry of condensation build up. More adjustment resolution means you can get a tighter, more precise fit.
In short, our new design is more comfortable, more ergonomic, and is far more effective than our 20 year old classic design.
If you are looking for a guaranteed way to stop thumb sucking in 4 weeks or less, without causing pain or discomfort, then look no further. Most parents see results after only ONE week of using AeroThumb®, making it one of the most recommended solutions to break the thumb sucking habit.

Kit Contents
Each treatment kit contains everything you need to stop the thumb sucking habit for one hand, within 30 days.
- 1 Ambidextrous AeroThumb ® appliance (can be worn on either hand)
- 30 bracelets: fun to wear, and multi-colored, so children can choose a new color every day!
- 1 Instalock – makes the fitting process as easy as possible!
- One set of instructions
- Reward chart + stickers
Please note: Many children will switch from one thumb, to the other, after putting on the TGuard®. For that reason, we recommend purchasing two treatment kits, one for each hand.
Sizing Chart
Sizing can be a tricky matter and it’s very important to get the right size in order to have a successful treatment. We recommend the table below for most children.
| Weight | Under 40 lbs | Between 40 and 70 lbs | More than 70 lbs |
| Recommended Size | Small | Medium | Large |
Typically, a child 4 and under will be best suited with a small, a child ages 5-6 will best be suited with a medium, and a child aged 7 or order, will choose large. However, the weight chart is the most accurate way to gauge sizing, and we recommend purchasing based off a child’s weight, rather than their age.
If your child is very close to the cut-off between sizes, then go with a smaller size if the child is taller than the average for their age group, or a larger size if the child is shorter than average for their age group. The reason for that is because the only important parameter in sizing is the relation between the thumb width and the diameter of the tube. Taller children tend to have more narrow thumbs and fingers, so they should go down a size, while shorter children tend to have wider thumbs, meaning they should go up a size. The length of the thumb plays no role in sizing.
Please know that children under 3 are more likely to switch from thumb to finger sucking, or vice-versa, due to their habit not being fully matured. If you see that the child switches from thumb to finger sucking, please contact us.

TGuard AeroThumb

This worked great for my 7 year old. She kicked the habit after a month of wearing the thumbgard, with immediate success the first night.
I started the conversation before the kit arrived, and that got her excited and the seed was planted. I believe a combination of readiness on the child’s side and a very well thought-out kit created a useful solution. The bracelets were key to providing empowerment with her choice and customization. We didn’t pursue the star chart after initial few days, but it did help at first with the excitement and encouragement.
I chose the wrong size (large was too big), and t-guard swiftly sent the right size while allowing me to keep the large one. We started right away with the large one to harness the excitement of starting and then switched out to the right size when it arrived.
I thought the guard would be clunkier and more obtrusive but it honestly was no big deal and my daughter felt comfortable wearing it while sleeping and playing out with friends/camp.
great product, great service, and we are so proud of my daughter for overcoming this primal habit she’s known her entire life. super cool 🙂
We tried charts, reminders, etc. but nothing worked until we got the T-Guard. Although the first 2 nights we had some bedtime meltdowns, after that, it became routine. Since finishing the program, he hasn’t sucked his thumb since!
This WORKS. 🤩 My 4 year old was a constant thumb-sucker. We tried the bitter nail polish recommended by his dentist and he would fall asleep without his thumb [crying] and then end up sucking his thumb in his sleep. We counted down the days. By day 5 he was so proud of himself and afraid of sucking his thumb that he asked for it before bed. By day 13, he asked to try sleeping without it. I was so hesitant. It wad working – why stop midway! But we tried. SUCCESS. Then day 2 off of it he reported being really tired and afraid he would suck his thumb, so he asked for it on for a couple of nights. Then went off again. So two weeks into it, he was done! He has now not used it for a few months and not messing up at ALL. And this child previously felt his thumb was the only way to get to sleep. SO so proud of him, and SO thankful for this tool!! I highly recommend it.
It didn’t stop the habit and she was able to maneuver her thumb out of it, so it would not even stay on.
It works.
This guard helped my child break their 7+ year habit of thumb sucking. Very pleased!
Didn’t work for us. My 5 year old is very flexible and could maneuver out of the guards even when we tried a size down (after trying the recommended size). The yucky nail biter polish was what ended up being effective (cheaper & easier too).
Worked quickly! After 25 days we safeguard took off the T guard. A few weeks later, I noticed our daughter was sticking her thumb in her sleep. We then put it on at night for another 3 weeks, and she hasn’t sucked it since!
Worked very well
